Stress overload?

All stress is not harmful.  Healthy stress stimulates us to optimal performance, positive adaptations and growth.

Body stress occurs when the body fails to adapt to an overload of stress which overrides our body’s in-built ability to self-heal and recover.  The stress becomes locked into the body and reduces overall efficiency, leading to an array of possible symptoms:
• Anxiety
• Back pain
• Cramps
• Digestive system problems, such as heartburn, constipation or diarrhoea
• Fibromyalgia
• Growing pains and/or refusal to walk in children
• Headaches and Migraines
• Infertility
• Loss of flexibility
• Muscle weakness
• Numbness or pins & needles
• Painful, stiff neck and shoulders
• Poor coordination
• Postural distortions, e.g. scoliosis, kyphosis
• Pregnancy-related problems such as hip pain, bladder problems and backache
• Problems with menstruation
• Restless legs
• Restlessness and inability to sit still in children
• Sciatica pain
• Sleeping problems
• Tiredness & fatigue
• Weak immune system
• Whiplash-related problems
